RESPOND relies on the generosity of our donors to meet important needs of the women and children we serve.  Below is our General Wish List, which details goods and items we need on an ongoing basis.  High priorities right now include:

* non-perishable food to stock our community food pantry

* newborn baby supplies and clothing for expecting moms

* a new or used television in good working condition

for the common space in our shelter

and

* a twin cot for our shelter

RESPOND's General Wish List

Items on this list will be used for the women and their children in our shelter and women and children in our community programs. Your contributions make a huge difference in the lives of the families we serve!

Many women enter RESPOND's shelter with no income, few or no possessions, and no means to buy food or clothing for themselves or their families. They bring only what they can carry. Oftentimes, this means leaving behind valuables, personal items, clothing, a cherished pet, or a child's favorite toy. Most of women we serve in our community program are living on a tight budget. They may struggle to keep up with high housing costs, medical bills, and the daily expense of caring for themselves and their children. RESPOND relies on your generosity to provide them with basic necessities!

The women we serve are generally in need of:

•  **Non-perishable food, gift certificates to supermarkets, and food vouchers **

•  Toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, feminine pads/tampons, and hand/body lotion

•  New pillows and Hypo-allergenic zip pillow cases

•  Comforters

•  New twin size sheets and/or blankets and mattress pads

•  Gift certificates to retail stores

•  Gift certificates to toy stores

•  Laundry Items : detergent, bleach and dryer sheets

•  Towels

•  Crib sheets

•  Phone cards

•  T-tokens or combo T passes

•  Journals

•  Notebooks

•  Planners

Their children are in need of:

•  Gift certificates for kids and/or teens retail stores

•  School supplies

•  Art supplies

•  Toys/Games for children and teenagers

•  Socks, mittens, gloves and hats of all sizes.

•  Diapers/Underwear

•  Baby formula and baby bottles

•  Children's movies/passes

•  Passes to the Science Museum , Children's Museum, the Aquarium, etc.

Due to the nature of our work we request only non-violent, non-military, and non-denominational toys, games, videos, and music CDs.
