In-Kind Donations

Every donation to RESPOND helps survivors move toward safety, stability, and independence. Giving physical, or in-kind, donations are a thoughtful way to provide practical, everyday support to survivors and families.

Because our needs change frequently, we prioritize the items on our current wish list. These are everyday essentials that survivors and families need and could use right now. Thank you so much for helping us meet these immediate needs and support survivors in our community.

Grocery Shopping

We are also always grateful for:

  • Gift cards to local grocery stores, including Market Basket, Stop & Shop, Shaw’s, and Target
  • Gift cards to CVS, Walgreens, and other local pharmacies
  • Uber and Lyft gift cards
  • CharlieCards and T passes
  • Paper goods, including paper towels and toilet paper
  • Laundry detergent and cleaning supplies

Gift cards are especially helpful because they give survivors the flexibility and choice to purchase what they need most.

If you have an item that you believe could be useful to a survivor or family, we welcome you to submit a request. While we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accept every donation, our team will review your submission and let you know if we can use the item. Please include a photo of the item with your request.

In-Kind Donation Form

Please do not drop off donations without prior confirmation and a scheduled drop-off time. You can also contact our Philanthropy and Engagement Department at (617) 625-5996 or development@respondinc.org.

Items We Rarely Accept

Due to space, safety, and the needs of the families we serve, RESPOND is rarely or never able to accept:

  • Large furniture or appliances
  • Cribs, strollers, car seats, or safety gates
  • Used stuffed animals or plush toys
  • Used mattresses
  • Items that are damaged, stained, soiled, or rusting

For furniture and other household goods, we recommend connecting with Furnishing Hope of Massachusetts, our partner that helps survivors create safe and comfortable homes.
