Thanksgiving is almost
here, and at RESPOND, we’re thinking about all the ways people show up for survivors, sometimes in ways you can see, and sometimes in ways you can’t.
Some of our favorite examples? A turkey donation so a family in shelter can sit down to a warm meal. A small, hand-knit baby blanket folded neatly in a crib, waiting to welcome a child into the safety of their new apartment. These gifts are small, personal, and full of heart and they’re just the tip of the iceberg.
Financial donations are just as meaningful, even if they don’t come with a bow. Every dollar gives us flexibility to respond exactly where help is needed. They pay for an emergency shelter, a support line, counseling sessions, safety planning, and even allow counselors the time to plan a Thanksgiving turkey craft for the children of survivors.
Your donation is the backbone that makes all the little acts of kindness possible.

Generosity isn’t one-size-fits-all. Volunteering, donating items from our holiday wish list, sharing resources with someone in need, all matter. But if you’re looking for the easiest, fastest way to make a tangible impact, giving financially is how you do it. It changes lives in ways you can’t always see and that’s exactly why we’re so thankful.
So, this season, as you think about gratitude, think about giving back in your own way. And know this: every gift to RESPOND, big or small, keeps survivors safe, helps them rebuild, and reminds them that they’re not alone.
Give today and make a real difference.
